The UK touring version of the crowd and critic-pleasing musical Six will welcome a new set of Queens next month part of the way through the production’s reign at The Lowry in Salford.
Following the current company’s final performance on 18 August, from 20 August the new touring Queens will be Billie Kerr (Catherine of Aragon), Yna Tresvalles (Anne Boleyn), Liberty Stottor (Jane Seymour), Hannah Victoria (Anna of Cleves), Lizzie Emery (Katherine Howard) and Eloise Lord (Catherine Parr).
Milly Willows, Erin Summerhayes and Lorren Santo-Quinn will be joining the cast as alternates, with super swing/dance captain Izzy Formby-Jackson. The Queens are backed by the show’s all female band The Ladies in Waiting. The tour is now booking through to late 2025.
Six is co-directed by Lucy Moss and Jamie Armitage and features choreography by Carrie-Anne Ingrouille. The design team includes Emma Bailey (set design), Gabriella Slade (costume Design), Tim Deiling (lighting design) and Paul Gatehouse (sound design).
Orchestrations are by Tom Curran with music supervision and vocal arrangements by Joe Beighton. The musical director is Caitlin Morgan and the associate UK musical supervisor is Lauren Hopkinson. The casting is by Pearson Casting. Six is produced by Kenny Wax, Wendy and Andy Barnes and George Stiles.
Written by university friends Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, the musical which puts the spotlight on the wives of Henry VIII as they form a 21st century girl band has come a long way from its early days as a student production in a 100-seater room at the 2017 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
The West End production’s record-breaking reign at Vaudeville Theatre was recently extended up to 4 May 2025. On the international stage, Six currently has productions playing on Broadway at the Lena Horne Theatre and two concurrent North American tours, including a seven-week run in Las Vegas. Further stagings have been announced in Canada and Holland for this autumn. Six recently completed an Australian tour and another production opened in Seoul, South Korea in March.
Winner of over 35 major international awards including the 2022 Tony Award for Best Original Score and Best Costume Design on Broadway, double WhatsOnStage Award winner for Best West End Show (2022 and 2023), and the 2020 BBC Radio 2 Audience Award for Best Musical, Six was also nominated for five Olivier awards, including Best New Musical.
Sixthe Musical (UK Studio Cast Recording) and the Grammy Award-nominated Six: Live On Opening Night, the first Original Broadway Cast Recording ever recorded live on opening night, have collectively been streamed over one billion times.
