Musical theatre stars feature heavily among the leading West End performers featured in a series of conversations that make up Ad Lib, a new theatre podcast launched by popular London theatre app Stagedoor.

Hosted by director Kirk Jameson, the conversations with some of London’s most exciting performers will be released in seven episodes available every Wednesday beginning next week on 21 March.

The Ad Lib podcasts feature Fra Fee (The Ferryman), Tyrone Huntley (Jesus Christ Superstar), Alice Fearn (Wicked), Harriet Thorpe (Absolutely Fabulous), Lara Denning (Ruthless), Julie Atherton and Mark Anderson (both Grinning Man).

Announcing the project, host Jameson said: “I’ve always been intrigued by what attracts people to a career in theatre and why they stick it out when their expectations are challenged along the road to success. It’s been such a joy to explore the lives of these seven wonderful actors; and to hear how their commitment has led to such exciting work.”

Stagedoor CEO and co-founder Michael Hadjijoseph added: “We’re delighted to support this series of stories. They’re a fascinating insight into the lives of some of our most interesting performers. The Stagedoor app exists to help people discover beautiful theatre and keep up to date with the artists they love – and we hope these podcasts do the same.”

The podcasts will be available on the stagedoor website via iTunes, Soundcloud and podcast apps.
