Moving Stage Productions will present the German-speaking premiere of the Neil Bartram/Brian Hill penned musical The Story of My Life (in German Die Geschichte meines Lebens) at the Theater Center Forum from 22 October 2014.
The show, which opened on Broadway in 2009 starring Will Chase and Malcolm Gets, traces the childhood of two friends, Alvin and Thomas, from childhood to adulthood.
Daniel Große Boymann (known for his translations of Spamalot and Tomorrow Morning) has translated the piece and will play the role of Thomas, Andreas Bieber (Elisabeth, Ich war noch niemals in New York) has been cast in the role of Alvin.
Sascha Oliver Bauer (one of the artistic directors of the summer festival in Röttinger and whose previous credits as director include Der Graf von Monte Christo and Dracula) directs with sets by Sam Madwar (Frau Luna, Guys and Dolls). Frizz Fischer (Oliver Twist, Romeo und Julia) will serve as musical director. The show is produced by Thomas Neuwerth for Moving Stage Productions.
Opening night for The Story of My Life is 22 October 2014 at the Theater Center Forum, Vienna. Further dates: 23, 24, 25, 27 (October), 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 (December).
