Mandela continues at the Young Vic Theatre, London until 4 February 2023. Star rating: four stars ★ ★ ★ ★ ✩ Does Mandela translate to the musical theatre stage? It does, and at times powerfully so. Dramaturgically, creatively, it could do more, so I’m intrigued to see how the show might still yet evolve after this world premiere.
