The award-winning rock‘n’roll musical Teddy’s London season at The Vaults has been extended by four weeks, following its successful launch at the Watermill Theatre and UK tour dates.
Produced by Sarah Loader for Snapdragon Productions in association with the Watermill Theatre, the show will now play the Waterloo venue from 29 March to 3 June.
Directed by Eleanor Rhode, the production features Molly Chesworth (If and When, Soho Theatre); Andrew Gallo (Sunny Afternoon, UK tour); George Parker (A Clockwork Orange, Anthony Burgess Theatre); Freya Parks (The Malcontent, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre); Harrison White (Teddy, Southwark Playhouse); and Dylan Wood (Snow Queen, Bristol Old Vic).
Written by Tristan Bernays, with music by Dougal Irvine, the show which was first seen at the Southwark Playhouse in 2015, is set in 1950s London and features a mix of original and popular hit songs performed live on stage by Johnny Valentine and the Broken Hearts.
Snapdragon Productions has also announced the release of the official album ‘Songs From Teddy the Musical by Johnny Valentine and the Broken Hearts’ which is now available via iTunes and Spotify.
Teddy features musical direction by Harrison White who also appeared in the original production and is in the cast of the current production. The creative team also includes set designer Max Dorey, lighting designer Christopher Nairne, sound designer Max Pappenheim, costume designer Holly Rose Henshaw and casting is by Natalie Gallacher for Pippa Ailion Casting.
