Norman Pace, Steve Punt and Charlie Condou will share the role of The Narrator in the touring production of The Rocky Horror Show

Comedian and actor Norman Pace will join fellow comedian Steve Punt and former Coronation Street star Charlie Condou in the new touring version of Christopher Luscombe’s 40th Anniversary re-working of the cult classic The Rocky Horror Show.

The trio will share the role of The Narrator in the well-received production, with Pace making his Rocky Horror Show debut, taking over from current narrator Punt, in Torquay, at the Princess Theatre on 7 March. The three stars will then share the dates for the rest of the tour with exact details to be confirmed for the autumn section of the tour.

Half of the popular comedy due Hale and Pace, Pace made his West End acting debut in Chicago in 1999, and has also appeared on stage in various UK tours of productions including Honk, A Slice of Saturday Night, Annie Get Your Gun and One Man, Two Guvnors.

Punt is most famous for his comedy partnership with Hugh Dennis, he has co-hosted The Now Show on Radio 4 since its inception in 1998 and now also presents the university quiz The Third Degree and the light-hearted investigative show Punt PI for Radio 4.

Condou is best known for playing Marcus Dent in Coronation Street for four years, his other TV credits include the recent Me, You, and The Apocalypse. On film he has appeared in Fred Claus and Charlotte Grey, while his theatre roles include Next Fall and The Changeling (both at the Southwark Playhouse).

The trio will join former X Factor star Diana Vickers (The Rise and Fall of Little Voice), ex-Emmerdale actor turned stage star Ben Freeman (Legally Blonde, Wicked) and Liam Tamne (The Phantom of the Opera, Hairspray).

Since its first appearance at the Royal Court Theatre in June 1973, Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show has become the world’s favourite rock‘n’roll musical. It has been performed worldwide for more than 40 years in over 30 countries, selling out in Australia, Germany, Switzerland, Japan and Austria, and has been translated into more than 20 languages. Director Christopher Luscombe created a new production to celebrate the 40th anniversary, which famously combines science fiction, horror, comedy and music and encourages audience participation.
