Award-winning musical revue It’s Only Life will receive its UK premiere with a limited run at the Union Theatre this summer.
Produced by Katy Lipson for musical theatre specialists Aria Entertainment, the show about love, loss and longing will run from Wednesday 13 June until Saturday 7 July 2018.
Featuring the work of songwriter John Bucchino, a favourite with stars including Judy Collins, Patti LuPone, Yo-Yo Ma, Audra McDonald, Liza Minnelli and Art Garfunkel, the show was conceived by Bucchino and director Daisy Prince.
The Union Theatre production will be directed by Tania Azevedo with musical direction by Nick Barstow, choreography by Hope Mill Theatre’s William Whelton, design by Justin Williams and Jonny Rust, lighting design by Clancy Flynn and casting by Jane Deitch.
The cast will include Noel Sullivan (Rock of Ages, Priscilla Queen of the Desert), Jennifer Harding (Funny Girl, Legally Blonde) and Jordan Shaw (Follies, tick, tick… BOOM!). They will be joined by recent graduates Will Carey and Sammy Graham.
Announcing details of the show’s UK premiere, Lipson said: “I have been in love with this beautiful piece for many years. There has never been a more appropriate time to now bring it to the UK. I am thrilled to bring together such a talented team of cast and creatives to the Union Theatre this summer.”
