An eclectic mix of music, comedy and drama has been lined up for this year’s Vault Festival at the distinctive subterranean arts venue in London’s Waterloo.

The festival programme which runs from 27 January until 6 March includes the 2014 S&S Award-winning, one-man musical Stay Awake, Jake by Tim Gilvin. Featuring Jamie Muscato (DogfightBend it Like Beckham), the production will be directed by Matt Ryan, with design by Lee Newby, lighting by Howard Hudson and musical direction by Jan Winstone. The show which is produced by Rachel Kraftman will play the Festival from 4–7 February.

The Festival’s other music related events include Christine Bovill’s award-winning tribute to Edith Piaf, Piaf (29 January); a performance that blends elements of punk, funk, rock, pop and musical theatre from seven-piece Felix Hagan & The Family (30 January); and the hit musical comedy of Diane Chorley’s Dianentine’s Ball on 12 and 13 February.

Other highlights planned include the experimental Songs for the End of the World by Dom Coyote and the Bloodmoneys (17–21 February); performances from drag troupe Denim (24 February until 6 March); and a show fusing original music, improvisation and physical theatre from comedian Simon Panrucker on 27 February.

Since its inception in 2012, VAULT has hosted over 250 productions, from outrageous comedy acts to hard-hitting political theatre and experimental new work from Britain’s most exciting emerging artists.
