Multi award-winning musical Kinky Boots is celebrating two more milestone events and another extension to its run at London’s Adelphi Theatre.
After welcoming over one million customers, the hit show has tonight (Monday 15 January) played its 1,000th performance in the West End. A new booking period has also been opened with tickets now available for performances up until Saturday 30 June this year.
An instant favourite with theatregoers, the exuberant show’s impressive awards haul includes three Oliviers, the London Evening Standard BBC Radio 2 Audience Award for Best Musical and the WhatsOnStage Award for Best New Musical.
With a book by Broadway legend and four-time Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein (La Cage Aux Folles), and songs by Grammy and Tony-winning pop icon Cyndi Lauper, the production is directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell.
