The team behind West End LIVE has announced two specially commissioned highlights programmes will be streamed on 20 and 21 June in place of the cancelled 2020 live event.
Featuring highlights from the last five years of the crowd-pleasing event that usually lights up London’s iconic Trafalgar Square each summer, the shows will be broadcast live on West End LIVE’s Facebook page. Both programmes will be captioned and available to watch for 24 hours after premiering.
The two shows will be accompanied by a whole host of on-line activities over the weekend offering home-bound fans the chance to engage with and share their favourite West End LIVE memories.
It has also been announced that the special West End LIVE-inspired videos currently being enjoyed exclusively by Sky VIPs will be made available on the Official London Theatre’s YouTube channel after 20 and 21 June.
Viewers are being asked to consider making a donation to the West End LIVE charity to help support the industry as it battles to survive the current crisis.
The largest event of its type in the world, West End LIVE annually turns one of the capital’s famous landmarks into a showcase for West End theatre.
