An all-star cast has been unveiled for Friday’s London showcase presentation of new show Footballers’ Wives – The Musical.

Simon Bailey (The Phantom of the Opera, I Can’t Sing! The X-Factor Musical) will play Jason with Natasha J. Barnes (Funny Girl, Spring Awakening) as Donna, Norman Bowman (42nd Street, Guys and Dolls) as Frank, Liam Doyle (Ghost, West Side Story) as Kyle, Alice Fearn (Wicked, Oliver!) as Tanya, Emma Hatton (Evita, Wicked) as Chardonnay, Emmanuel Kojo (Show Boat, Oklahoma!) as Ian, Wendi Peters (Big the Musical, White Christmas) as Nurse Dunkley, and Dean John Wilson (Disney’s Aladdin, The King and I) as Salvo.

Based on the guilty pleasure ITV show which ran for six seasons from 2002 until 2006, the showcase performance of the musical comedy marks the next stage in the journey to full production for the show which was first presented at BEAM2018.

Featuring 23 original songs, the latest from the team behind Bad Girls The Musical, the show features a book by Maureen Chadwick, the co-creator of the original TV series and Ann McManus, with music and lyrics by Kath Gotts.

Presented by Big Broad Productions, the creative team for the showcase includes musical director Gemma Hawkins and music associate Tom Kelly with casting by Harry Blumenau and general management by Arden Entertainment.
