Les Misérables’ inspired male vocal group The Barricade Boys will follow up their sold-out festive three-week season at the Studio at The Other Palace with a UK tour.
Launching on 11 March at Charing Cross Theatre, the tour will take in dates at Aylesbury’s Waterside Theatre (12 March), York’s Grand Opera House (15 March), Folkestone’s Leas Cliff Hall (16 March), Stoke-On-Trent’s Victoria Hall (17 March), and the Southport Theatre & Convention Centre (18 March).
Following on from a successful appearance at the St James Theatre on Broadway and a number of international dates, The Barricade Boys are also lined up to close the Guildford Fringe Festival at this year’s G Live and are due to announce dates for a US tour in April 2019.
The brainchild of Scott Garnham and his business partner Simon Schofield, the group was first launched in 2015 with plans to feature male singers who all had one thing in common – they had appeared in productions of the record-breaking and award winning Les Misérables.
The Other Palace Christmas shows featured a foursome made up of Garnham (Billy Elliot The Musical, UK tour, Grand Hotel, Southwark Playhouse); Schofield (Puttin’ on the Ritz, UK tour, The Sound of Music, London Palladium); Kieran Brown (The Phantom of the Opera, Her Majesty’s, Wicked, Apollo Victoria) and Craig Mather (The Wind in the Willows, London Palladium, Jack and the Beanstalk, Theatr Clwyd) along with various star name special guests.
Produced by Sisco Entertainment Ltd with musical supervision by James Doughty, details of the exact line-up for the UK shows has yet to be announced.
