More Dear Evan Hansen tickets available plus chance to appear in show’s poster art

A second batch of extra tickets will be released for the eagerly-awaited West End debut of Dear Evan Hansen from Monday (10 June) following a sold-out priority booking period.

Produced by Stacey Mindich, the West End run which will reunite the creative team behind the show’s record-breaking Broadway run is due to begin previews at the Noël Coward Theatre on 29 October ahead of an opening night on 19 November. The extra tickets will take the show’s initial run up to April 2020.

Mindich has also announced a chance for fans of the show to appear in the distinctive poster artwork for the show’s London debut. Inspired by the production’s Act I final anthem ‘You Will Be Found’, the poster’s design features a mosaic of fans’ faces. Since the show’s Broadway opening three years ago, over 6,000 supporters have appeared on the locally personalised artwork.

For UK fans to be eligible they should submit their photograph or video via the official Dear Evan Hansen website before Sunday 4 August. Full details can be found at www.dearevanhansen.com/london/ from Monday 10 June.

Directed by Michael Greif, the show which boasts a book by Steven Levenson, and a score by Tony, Grammy and Academy Award-winning composers Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, debuted on Broadway in 2016. A critic and crowd-pleasing success, the production collected six Tony Awards as well as the Grammy for Best Musical Theatre Album.

Announcing the plans for the hit show’s London debut in October last year, Mindich said: “Producing Dear Evan Hansen in America has been a joyful undertaking as the team and I have seen such a widespread and heartfelt response to our show’s message.

“We are so excited to bring our show to London, especially to Cameron Mackintosh’s jewel box of a theatre, the Noël Coward. Our show is very much about connection and we are all looking forward to connecting London audiences to the music and story of Dear Evan Hansen.”

Dear Evan Hansen features scenic design by David Korins, projection design by Peter Nigrini, costume design by Emily Rebholz, lighting design by Japhy Weideman, sound design by Nevin Steinberg and hair design by David Brian Brown.

Music supervision, orchestrations and additional arrangements are by Alex Lacamoire, Ben Cohn is the associate music supervisor, vocal arrangements and additional arrangements are by Justin Paul and choreography is by Danny Mefford.
