The Old Vic’s critically acclaimed world premiere production of Girl From The North Country will return to the West End for an eight-week run beginning in December.
Written and directed by multi award winning playwright Conor McPherson (The Seafarer, The Weir) and featuring the songs of Bob Dylan, the production will play the Gielgud Theatre from 10 December 2019 until 1 February 2020.

The show’s West End return just over a year after the show’s initial transfer run will follow a run at the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto, Canada (from 28 September) and will precede the show’s Broadway debut in March 2020 at the Belasco Theatre.
The creative for the production includes: scenic and costume design by Rae Smith, orchestrations, arrangements & music supervision by Simon Hale, with additional arrangements by Hale and McPherson. Lighting design is by Mark Henderson, sound design by Simon Baker with movement direction by Lucy Hind, and casting by Jessica Ronane.
Girl from the North Country opened at The Old Vic in July 2017 where it played a critically acclaimed sold-out season before transferring to the Noël Coward Theatre in December 2017 and going on to have a sold out run at the Public Theater, New York in 2018. The London premiere production collected the 2018 Olivier Awards for Best Actress in a Musical and Best Supporting Actress in a Musical.
