Lambert Jackson announces concert version of The Secret Garden at the London Palladium

Lambert Jackson Productions has unveiled plans for a London Palladium concert version of the Tony Award-winning musical The Secret Garden and a third season of intimate genre shows at The Other Palace.

After starring in Lambert Jackson’s concert staging of Dr Zhivago at London’s Cadogan Hall, Ramin Karimloo (Love Never Dies, Adelphi Theatre, The Phantom of the Opera, Her Majesty’s Theatre) will join Waitress’ current Jenna, Lucie Jones (Rent, The Other Palace and UK tour, Les Misérables, Queen’s Theatre) for two performances of The Secret Garden on Saturday 4 April 2020.

The performance will also mark a Palladium return visit for 2019 The Stage Debut Award winner Jac Yarrow, the star of last year’s smash hit revival of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Commenting on the concert, Lambert Jackson’s Jamie Lambert and Eliza Jackson said: “The Secret Garden is one of the most wonderful pieces of storytelling, and we feel so lucky to be able to present this stunning musical adaptation in a concert setting. With book by the exceptional Marsha Norman, stunning music by the beautiful Lucy Simon (who we worked with on our recent concert production of Doctor Zhivago) together with this all-star cast, this is going to be a truly extraordinary theatre experience.”

Based on Frances Hodgson Burnett’s much-loved 1911 novel, The Secret Garden has a script and lyrics by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner Marsha Norman and music by Grammy Award winner Lucy Simon.

The Lambert Jackson team has also revealed details of the line-up for the third season of intimate concerts at London’s The Other Palace beginning in March 2020.

Following on from two seasons of Sunday Favourites at The Other Palace, the third season will move to Monday nights from 2 March 2020. RuPaul’s Drag Race UK finalist Divina de Campo will take to the stage on 2 March followed by Jordan Luke Gage (& Juliet, Bat Out of Hell) on 16 March, John Owen-Jones (Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera) on 30 March and Maiya Quansah-Breed (Six) on 20 April.

Announcing the Monday Favourites At The Other Palace line-up, Lambert and Jackson said: “We have had such an amazing reaction to our first two season of Sunday Favourites at The Other Palace we just had to create another season. The line-up we have for this season is made up of some of the most talented and inspiring performers in the industry today, they are so diverse and interesting – from the finalist of the first season of RuPaul’s Drag Race Divina de Campo; to the legend that is John Owen-Jones; with the fresh, new energy of Jordan Luke Gage (currently in & Juliet as Romeo) and Maiya Quansah-Breed (currently in Six as Catherine Parr) we really do think this could be our best season yet.”
