SCOTS – Edinburgh Festival Fringe

SCOTS continues at Ghillie Dhu – Auditorium until 27 August 2023.

Star rating: five stars ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

A Play, A Pie and A Pint. Noisemaker. A stellar cast of eight. What could possibly go wrong? Well, absolutely nothing!

This is a joyful, at times thought-provoking, often educational but always entertaining, new work from the inimitable Noisemaker, the highly talented duo, Scott Gilmour and Claire McKenzie.

This is a history of Scotland in 60 minutes, told by a toilet (yes, a toilet) and a cast of historical figures, brilliantly led by Tyler Collins as The Toilet. This show is raucous and irreverent at times, but it’s also very funny. It’s emotional at times, but it’s also uplifting.

Excellent storytelling, fabulous voices, beautiful harmonies, great songs you will want to listen to again – this was a show I didn’t want to end.

This is the ‘must see’ of the second half of the Fringe – you won’t be disappointed, and you’ll also get a pie and a pint.
