Six new Queens will ascend the throne in the West End production of Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss’ hit musical SIX at the Vaudeville Theatre next month.
From 24 February, Adrianne Langley (Titanique, Criterion Theatre, Twist and Shout, UK tour) will play Catherine of Aragon, while Marisha Morgan (Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, West End, Anyone Can Whistle, Southwark Playhouse) will join the Queendom as Anne Boleyn, Jessica Aubrey (Wicked, West End, But I’m a Cheerleader, Turbine Theatre) will play Jane Seymour, Freya Karlettis (Play On!, UK tour, Hairspray, The Lion King) will play Anna of Cleves, with Leesa Tulley (Why Am I So Single, Garrick Theatre, SIX, UK tour) as Katherine Howard and Nia Stephen (& Juliet, UK tour, The Enormous Crocodile, Regent’s Park) making her West End debut as Catherine Parr.
They will be joined by Tegan Bannister (Oliver!, Gielgud Theatre/Chichester Festival Theatre) as Alternate Aragon/Cleves, Mary Elliott as Alternate Boleyn/Howard and Ashlyn Weekes (Dear Evan Hansen, Asia tour, Starlight Express, Wembley Park) as Alternate Seymour/Parr.
The company is completed by Super Swings Laura Baxter, who is continuing from the 2025 cast in which she made her professional and West End debut, Gabs Boumford (SIX, Australasian tour, Grease, Dubai Opera) and Imogen Rose Hart (Hamilton, UK tour, A Chorus Line, Leicester Curve/Sadler’s Wells).
The band features Ladies in Waiting Beth Jerem as musical director/keys, Alice Angliss on drums, Emma Jemima on guitar, Kelly Morris on bass and Annabelle Lee Revak as assistant musical director.
The West End production’s current booking period at the Vaudeville Theatre runs up to January 2027.
Written by university friends Marlow and Moss, the musical which puts the spotlight on the wives of Henry VIII as they form a 21st century girl band, started life as a student production in a 100-seat room at Sweet Venue during the 2017 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Presented by Kenny Wax, Wendy and Andy Barnes and George Stiles, the show which features tracks including ‘Ex Wives’, ‘Haus of Holbein’ and ‘Don’t Lose Ur Head’ is directed by co-creator Moss and Jamie Armitage.
The creative team also includes choreographer Carrie-Anne Ingrouille and musical supervisor Joe Beighton, with set design by Emma Bailey, costume design by Gabriella Slade, lighting design by Tim Deiling, sound design by Paul Gatehouse and orchestrations by Tom Curran. Casting for SIX is by Pearson Casting.
The news of a new West End company follows on from another milestone year for the hit musical which included last autumn’s acclaimed week-long residency at the Vaudeville Theatre for the original Japanese Queens when the production was performed entirely in Japanese with English captions — a UK first. Last year also saw the launch of the SIX the Musical Afternoon Tea at The Soho Hotel – a limited-edition collaboration running through to February 2026. Featuring pastries inspired by each Queen, the experience offers audiences another way to immerse themselves in the world of SIX ahead of seeing the musical in the West End.
Winner of over 35 international awards, including two 2022 Tony Awards, four WhatsOnStage awards, and nominated for five Oliviers, SIX can now be seen live on stage worldwide. The show continues to tour the UK, Europe and internationally. Seasons in Manila and Singapore have recently been completed, a new Australasian tour will open in July, and a new Spanish language production will open in Madrid in September.
SIX is currently playing at Broadway’s Lena Horne Theatre, and the US touring production continues to play cities across the US. The show has attracted 1.5 million followers globally – across YouTube, Instagram, X, TikTok and Facebook in the UK, US, Australia, Korea and beyond – and hit another milestone achievement, with songs from ‘SIX the Musical (UK Studio Cast Recording)’ and the Grammy Award-nominated ‘Six: Live On Opening Night’ – the first Original Broadway Cast Recording ever recorded live on opening night – streamed in excess of 5.2 billion times.
