Two of the original stars of hit musical Bat Out of Hell have united to produce a special album of music celebrating their characters’ turbulent romantic relationship.
Taking their inspiration from Jim Steinman’s crowd-pleasing stage show, Bat Out of Hell’s original Falco and Sloane, Rob Fowler (We Will Rock You) and Sharon Sexton (Billy Elliot), provide a musical backstory for their characters in the form of an album of duets.
Produced and mixed by Dan Leary with musical arrangements by Steve Corley, Vision of You features Fowler and Sexton performing 11 tracks tracing the relationship between the well-loved characters.
With a title taken from a lyric in the song ‘What Part of My Body Hurts the Most’, written for the musical by Steinman, the release of the album of ballads comes just a few weeks before Bat Out of Hell’s final performance at London’s Dominion Theatre on 5 January 2019.
The actors who met on the first day of rehearsals for the award-winning show will play a number of live shows in the New Year. Debuting at The Space @ Studio 88 in London on 25 January 2019, Vision of You – The Album In Concert will also play Soho’s Crazy Coqs on 5 March 2019 with further dates in Manchester to be confirmed.
