Casting has been announced for the online film release of the new musical In Pieces. Due to receive its UK and European premiere online for a limited time in support of the LGBT Foundation, the film features 2020 London College of Music graduate Kyle Birch, Amy Di Bartolomeo (We Will Rock You UK tour), Hiba Elchikhe (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Apollo Theatre), Jordan Luke Gage (& Juliet, Shaftesbury Theatre), Ross Harmon (Mamma Mia! Royal Caribbean Cruises), Beccy Lane (Can’t Stop It, Dominion Theatre), Danielle Steers (Six The Musical, Arts Theatre) and Luke Street (Gypsy, Savoy Theatre), with Erin Bell, Millie Cranston, Jack Dargan, Megan Cerys Holland, Rhianna Richards and Jason Leigh Winter as the ensemble
Presented by the newly launched Future Spotlight Productions, and directed by the company’s founder Louis Rayneau, the new production of Joey Contreras’ work will be available from 23 April 2021 with tickets going on sale from the end of March.
Commenting on the new version of the show which was originally presented at the Lincoln Center in New York, Contreras said: “This collection of stories and music has been a part of my life for many years and I’m grateful that Future Spotlight Productions will now introduce them to a whole new audience with this exciting feature film!”
Rayneau heads a creative team which includes assistant director Steph Parry, choreographer Rachel Sargent and musical director Edward Court.
Listed as one of Playbill’s ‘Contemporary Musical Theatre Songwriters You Should Know’ Contreras’ musicals include All The Kids Are Doing It, Forget Me Not and Elements, co-written with book-writer and lyricist Kate Thomas. Contreras is currently working on Heartbreakers in Hell with book writer and lyricist Benjamin Halstead.
Launched last year by director and producer Rayneau, Future Spotlight Productions has already produced a number of successful online events including the Spotlight on the Future web duet series, and the fundraising showcase Spotlight on the Future LIVE! at The Drive In.
