Chris Grady launches new diploma in Creative Producing

Would-be theatre and arts producers will benefit from a new online diploma course launched by the founder of the prestigious Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts’ MA in Creative Producing, Chris Grady.

The first course from the newly launched online CGO Institute for Creative Producing, will offer up to 20 participants from the UK or across the world an intense 16-week course of interactive classes, seminars, lectures and tutorials led by a faculty of practitioners based in the UK, the US, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Australia.

Unveiling details of the course, Grady said: “Coming together as a small group of passionate creative practitioners gives the opportunity, over an intensive 16 weeks, to create a professional friendship network which can support participants in the future. It allows each person to understand themselves better and to build resilience. By offering a mix of tools and rules, knowledge and informed opinion, passion and practicality, we will aim to work together to begin their journey to change the world, one show at a time.”

Costing £2,400, the first course which will begin online on 2 November 2020 is now open for applications. Further courses in writing and production will be announced at a later date.

Grady, who created and ran the MA in Creative Producing course at London’s Mountview Academy until August 2018, is currently consulting with the University of West Scotland and developing training programmes for his new base in Blackness, West Lothian.
