Club Mex continues at the Hope Mill Theatre, Manchester until 10 February 2019.

Club Mex is an original, high-energy and full-of-laughs – so many you’ll miss a few as you are still laughing at a previous punchy line – part-immersive, part-musical clubbing experience.
Written by award-winning, comedian, actor and writer Tamar Broadbent, with music, lyrics and orchestrations by John-Victor (and developed by Perfect Pitch), the fresh musical score fuses pop, dance and musical theatre and is full of catchy songs from ballads to club anthems.
Out on the dance floor, along with your fellow travellers for the evening, we join Mel (Jade Johnson) and her two best mates Tiff (Alison Arnopp) and Lou (Emma Louise Hoey) as they head to Cancun for Mel’s hen party holiday, prior to her becoming Mrs Graham Gnasher.
You will find yourself grinning, Mexican waving and dancing along with the whole cast.
Special mention goes to club rep lothario Antonio, as played by Alvaro Flores, who is very funny and, in true club rep style, encourages the audience so that everyone enthusiastically joins in the fun at Club Mex.
Antonio’s assistant club rep is Josh (Jeremey Sartori) who is making his professional debut in the show. Sartori’s duet with Johnson is a high point of the show.
Bradley Connor, as Mel’s fiancé Graham, rounds up a wonderful ensemble cast with great chemistry between them all.
There is a line in the film Once Upon A Time in Mexico where a character asks: “Are you a Mexican or a Mexicant” – the whole cast and production certainly Mexican put on a show which you can’t help enjoy.
Director Julie Atherton has delivered a fresh and flirty production performed by a fine cast.
