Hollywood legends Dick Van Dyke and Angela Lansbury are among a host of star names involved in Buttons, a magical new movie which will premiere in December 2018.
Inspired by the MGM musicals of Hollywood’s Golden Age, the new musical fairytale created and directed by Tim Janis will be screened nationwide across the UK on 8 December.
Narrated by Robert Redford and Kate Winslet, the film tells the story of two orphan children whose lives are changed for the better when they meet two magical visitors played by Van Dyke and Lansbury.
Featuring a new song written by Paul McCartney, the star cast includes Abigail Spencer, Jane Seymour, Roma Downey, Ioan Gruffudd, Katie McGrath, Robert Picardo, Charles Shaughnessy, Paul Greene and John de Lancie.
With the proceeds of the film benefiting Winslet’s Golden Hat Foundation which helps those living with autism, the movie also introduces Alivia Clark, Noelle Parker, Devlin Stark, Julia Burrows, Reilly Anspaugh and Tom Rhoads.
As an added bonus, the screening will be followed by a tribute to the legendary Gene Kelly hosted by the dancer and choreographer’s widow and biographer, Patricia Ward Kelly.
