Broadway star Eden Espinosa will take centre stage in a solo concert at London’s Cadogan Hall next spring.
Presented by Fourth Wall Live, the one-night only show on 8 April will feature the star best known for her critically-acclaimed performance as Elphaba in Wicked on Broadway and in Los Angeles and San Francisco, performing her favourite songs alongside audience requests.
Previously seen in London in the gothic rock musical Lizzie in 2017 and in the BBC Proms celebration of West Side Story in 2018, Espinosa made her Broadway debut in the original cast for Wicked in 2003, starting out as standby Elphaba for Idina Menzel.
Espinosa left Wicked to play the lead in the original production Brooklyn the Musical in 2004 before returning to the role of Elphaba in Wicked’s first US tour. The actress and singer’s other credits include playing Maureen in the closing company of Rent on Broadway, originating the role of Sadie Thompson in the world premiere of Rain and starring in the recent touring production of Falsettos.
A collaboration between boutique concert producer Club 11 London and theatrical producers DLAP Entertainment, Fourth Wall Live specialises in bringing Broadway stars to UK concert halls. Previous concerts have featured stage and screen star Chita Rivera, Broadway stars Keala Settle and Megan Hilty and West End stars Michael Ball and Sharon D Clarke.
