Eleven Six Queens to join the West End Musical Drive-In line-up

Eleven past and present ‘Queens’ from the hit show Six are the latest additions to the line-up of West End favourites bringing a touch of musical theatre magic to drive-in audiences in London.

Courtney Bowman, Maddie Bulleyment, Collette Guitart, Sophie Isaac, Vicki Manser, Shekinah McFarlane, Grace Mouat, Natalie Paris, Jarneia Richard-Noel, Courtney Stapleton and Jodie Steele will be the headline attractions at the West End Musical Drive-In on 12 September 2020.

The announcement of the addition of the Six stars to the West End star-studded drive-in shows coincides with the news that pedestrians and cyclists will now be able to enjoy the drive-in experience with car-free bays now being made available.

Commenting on the latest developments producer Chris Steward said: “We’re so excited to be bringing so many Queens together for such a special performance. Although it’s a drive in, in-line with government guidelines, fans will also be able to attend in small groups even without a car and be right at the front of the stage. If last Saturday’s event is anything to go by the atmosphere is going to be electric!”

Presented by the team behind the popular West End Musical Brunch events, the West End Musical Drive-In launched early in July at the site just off the North Circular at The Drive In, Troubadour Meridian Water, in North London.

Kerry Ellis (Wicked, We Will Rock You, My Fair Lady), Alice Fearn (Wicked, Come From Away, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) and Jon Robyns (Les Misérables, Hamilton, The Wedding Singer) took centre stage for the first in the series of socially distanced musical theatre-themed shows.

As previously announced the August shows (8 and 29 August) will feature John Owen-Jones (The Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables), Sophie Evans (Wicked, The Wizard of Oz), Oliver Savile (Wicked, Cats), Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’s Layton Williams and Les Misérables’ Shan Ako and another Six star Maiya Quansah-Breed. Additional guests will be announced soon. The September shows are scheduled for 12 and 26 September.

Each show features live performances of musical theatre favourites from West End stars on stage and projected onto three large screens with sound provided via a tailor-made FM radio frequency. Multiple West End performers appear at each event along with immersive characters and the West End Wendy’s dance troupe.

Produced by Neighbourhood Events Ltd, the West End Musical Drive-In has been created with close attention to adhering to safety guidelines to ensure attendees have a safe and enjoyable experience. Audience members who wish to attend without a car can be in groups of no more than five and are invited to bring along camping chairs and a portable radio.

Tickets are priced from £65. For further information on both car and car-free options visit www.westendmusicaldrivein.co.uk.
