Announcing the cancellation of the limited ten-week season at the Ambassadors Theatre, producer Kevin Wood said: “The past few days have been spent frantically trying to replace them (the investor) but time has run out. In the New Year, we will take stock and come again. We have spent too much time and money on this project to just let it die.”

Written by Ben Adams and Chris Wilkins, the show which features a 1980s-inspired soundtrack and merges an earthbound love story with a comic book superhero fantasy, received its world premiere in concert format the London Palladium in 2016.
