The organisers of burlesque-flavoured fundraiser West End Bares have announced the theme for this year’s event at the Novello Theatre in September.
Promising to take its audience on an epic medieval adventure, West End Bares: EXCALIBARE will feature more than 100 performers who will take to the stage for two performances on the evening of 25 September.
Now in its seventh year, the show is staged in aid of the Make A Difference Trust, a UK-based charity involved in the fight against HIV and AIDS.
Based on the original concept Broadway Bares by legendary Broadway and West End director/choreographer Jerry Mitchell who launched the event to raise funds for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids, West End Bares combines the risqué entertainment of traditional burlesque with the crowd-pleasing glitz of a West End smash.
Details of the celebrity guest line-up for this year’s show which marks the event’s debut at the Novello, will be announced soon.
Previous celebrity supporters include John Barrowman, Graham Norton, Paul O’Grady and Sheridan Smith.
