Appearing together on stage for the first time, the Queenly line-up features Courtney Bowman, Maddie Bulleyment, Lauren Byrne, Jen Caldwell, Lauren Drew, Collette Guitart, Sophie Isaac, Cherelle Jay, Cassandra Lee, Zara Macintosh, Vicki Manser, Shekinah McFarlane, Natalie Paris, Jarneia Richard-Noel, Courtney Stapleton, Danielle Steers and Hana Stewart.
The announcement of the extra show featuring the Six stars was accompanied by the unveiling of the star studded line-up for the other two September shows.
On 19 September the three leads from Disney’s Aladdin – Trevor Dion-Nicholas (Hamilton), Hiba Elchikhe (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie) and Matthew Croke (Wicked) – will reunite for a special performance. The final September concert will be a Wicked-flavoured show starring a trio of Elphabas – Alice Fearn (Come From Away), Emma Hatton (Evita) and Laura Pick (The Sound of Music) – and Glinda, Sophie Evans (The Wizard of Oz).
The organisers also announced that this Saturday’s (29 August) show headlined by Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’s Layton Williams will for the first time, feature more than one ‘Jamie’ on stage.
Commenting on the latest drive-in news producer Chris Steward said: “We are delighted to announce more dates and for our drive-ins to continue be a success story in the doom and gloom of 2020. As always, we are celebrating musical theatre in new ways whilst providing much needed work for an incredible line up of talent, who deserve a stage and a live audience to perform to.”
Presented by the team behind the popular West End Musical Brunch events, the West End Musical Drive-In has been bringing a touch of musical theatre magic to drive-in audiences just off the North Circular at The Drive In, Troubadour Meridian Water, in North London.
Each show features live performances of musical theatre classics from West End stars on stage and projected onto three large screens with sound provided via a tailor-made FM radio frequency. Multiple West End performers appear at each event along with immersive characters and the West End Wendy’s dance troupe.
Produced by Neighbourhood Events Ltd, the West End Musical Drive-In has been created with close attention to adhering to safety guidelines to ensure attendees have a safe and enjoyable experience. Audience members who wish to attend without a car can be in groups of no more than five and are invited to bring along camping chairs and a portable radio.
