Rebecca Trehearn joins the cast of Floyd Collins at Wilton’s Music Hall
Ashley Robinson and Rebecca Trehearn will head the cast of the Wilton’s Music Hall production of 1990s musical Floyd Collins.
Robinson, who was in the cast of the original Chicago production of Wicked, will play the title role alongside Trehearn, fresh from the critically acclaimed Show Boat, who will play Collins’ sister Nellie.
They will be joined by Jack Chissick, fresh from the recent Olivier Award-winning Gypsy and Sarah Ingram, whose West End credits include South Pacific and Flashdance.
The cast will be completed by Ian Burfield, Craig Pinder, Marc Akinfolarin, Sam Thomas, Francesco Lo Giudice, Daniel Booroff, Joel Elferink, Christopher Jordan-Marshall and Alex Spinney.
The true story of a 1920s cave explorer and the fight to save him after he becomes trapped underground will play the distinctive London venue from 21 September to 15 October.
An Obie Award-winning musical written by Adam Guettel and Tina Landau, Floyd Collins debuted in Philadelphia in 1994, two years before its Off-Broadway premiere.
The Wilton’s production will be directed by Jonathan Butterell. The creative team also includes producer Amanda Holland, musical director Tom Brady, set and costume designer Lee Newby, lighting designer Rick Fisher and sound designer Tony Gayle.
