Following a record-breaking Christmas season with box office records broken across November and December, Disney Theatrical Productions has announced another extension to the crowd-pleasing West End debut run of Frozen in response to high public demand.

The spectacular production which has been playing to packed houses at the newly refurbished Theatre Royal Drury Lane since late August 2021, will continue to bring Elsa’s frozen world to London audiences until at least October.

The latest extension announcement comes as the animated film which inspired the lavish musical prepares to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its original cinema release in November 2013.

Samantha Barks (Les Misérables, Queen’s Theatre, Pretty Woman, Chicago and New York) continues to take centre stage as snow queen Elsa, with Emily Lane (Before The Party, Almeida Theatre) as Anna, Djavan van de Fliert (professional stage debut) as Kristoff, Craig Gallivan (School of Rock, New London Theatre, Billy Elliot, Victoria Palace Theatre) as Olaf, Oliver Ormson (Back to the Future The Musical, Manchester Opera House, High Fidelity, Turbine Theatre) as Hans, Richard Frame (The Lion King, Lyceum Theatre, Promises, Promises, Sheffield Theatres) as the Duke of Weselton, with Mikayla Jade (Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, The Old Guard) and Ashley Birchall (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Oklahoma! Kilworth House) alternating the role of Sven.

The company also includes: Rhianne Alleyne, Marianne Bardgett, Jeremy Batt, Rebecca Botterill, Char Burnett (Bulda), Collette Coleman, Laura Emmitt, Davide Fienauri, Jemal Felix, Jordan Fox, Ben Irish(Pabbie), Justin-Lee Jones, Aoife Kenny, Jordan Livesey, Molly Francis, Matt Gillett, Joshua Robinson, Harriet Samuels, Jacqui Sanchez (Queen Iduna), Isabella Glanznig Santos, Jak Skelly (Oaken/Bishop), Kerry Spark (King Agnarr), Caitlin Tipping, Rodney Vubya, Anna Woodside and Luke Fraser Yates.

With music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez and book by Jennifer Lee, director Michael Grandage’s production features set and costume designs by Christopher Oram, lighting design by Natasha Katz, choreography by Rob Ashford, sound design by Peter Hylenski, video design by Finn Ross, puppet design by Michael Curry and musical supervision and arrangements by Stephen Oremus.

One of the hottest tickets on Broadway since its opening in March 2018, the lavish stage musical version of the hit animated film was hand-picked as the reopening production for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Theatre Royal Drury Lane following the completion of a £60 million renovation and restoration project.

Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s The Snow Queen, Frozen caught the imagination of audiences across the world from the moment it was first released into cinemas in 2013. The double Oscar winner was written and co-directed by Lee (with Chris Buck) with music and lyrics by Anderson-Lopez and Lopez.
