The producers of the new stage musical version of The Prince Of Egypt have revealed full casting details and released the first scenic design illustration by Kevin Depinet for the show’s London premiere early next year.
As previously announced Luke Brady (Sweeney Todd, Chichester Festival Theatre, West End, St George and the Dragon, Shakespeare’s Globe, National Theatre) will star as Moses opposite Rocky Horror Show favourite Liam Tamne (The Light in the Piazza, South Bank Centre, Working, Southwark Playhouse) as Ramses.
Hamilton’s Christine Allado (In The Heights, King’s Cross Theatre, Sweet Charity, Manchester Royal Exchange) will play Moses’ wife, Tzipporah with Alexia Khadime (The Lion King, The Book of Mormon, West End) as Moses’ sister Miriam; RSC associate artist Joe Dixon (The Tempest, A Midsummer’s Night Dream), Debbie Kurup (Blues in the Night, Kiln Theatre, Sweet Charity, Donmar Warehouse), Gary Wilmot (Me and My Girl, West End and UK tour, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, London Palladium and UK tour), Adam Pearce (Evita, Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre), Tanisha Spring (Big Fish, The Other Palace, Caroline, or Change, West End) and Silas Wyatt-Barke (Twelfth Night, Young Vic, Sunny Afternoon, West End).
The cast will be completed by Simbi Akande, Casey Al-Shaqsy, Joe Atkinson, Danny Becker, Felipe Bejarano, Pàje Campbell, Mercedesz Csampai, Adam Filipe, Soophia Foroughi, Natalie Green, Jack Harrison-Cooper, Rachael Ireson, Kalene Jeans, Christian Knight, Jessica Lee, Oliver Lidert, Jay Marsh, Scott Maurice, Carly Miles, Sam Oladeinde, Alice Readie, Christopher Short, Ricardo Walker, Danny Williams, Niko Wirachman and Sasha Woodward.
Produced by Dreamworks Theatricals (a division of Universal Theatrical Group), Michael McCabe and Neil Laidlaw, The Prince Of Egypt will open at the Dominion Theatre on 5 February 2020 for a limited 32-week run.

Scott Schwartz (Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame) will direct the production which will be choreographed by Sean Cheesman (So You Think You Can Dance).
Featuring 10 new songs written by Stephen Schwartz (Wicked) and a book by Phillip LaZebnik (Disney’s Mulan and Pocahontas), the musical version of the DreamWorks animated film also includes the movie’s Oscar-winning song ‘When You Believe’ along with ‘Deliver Us’, ‘All I Ever Wanted’ and ‘Through Heaven’s Eyes’.
The stage version originally premiered at TheatreWorks in Silicon Valley in the US in 2017 and has been seen at Denmark’s Fredericia Teater. The revised version of the show which includes a new song and new material was showcased at a private reading in London earlier this year.
The creative team also includes: set designer Depinet; costume designer Ann Hould-Ward; lighting designer Mike Billings; sound designer Gareth Owen; projection designer Jon Driscoll; illusion designer Chris Fisher; orchestrator August Eriksmoen; musical supervisor and arranger Dominick Amendum; musical director Dave Rose; and casting director Jim Arnold.
