Hugh Jackman will bring a touch of Hollywood glamour to the UK concert circuit in May next year when he plays four dates as part of his eagerly-anticipated debut world tour.

Fresh from the success of his performance as PT Barnum in The Greatest Showman, Jackman appeared on the Today Show in the US on 29 November to reveal details of his first world tour.
Describing the tour, which will take in dates in the UK, the US, New Zealand and his home country, Australia, as “a dream come true for me”, Jackman told the Today Show presenters: “I’m singing, I’m dancing, I’m telling stories. I’m on the back nine of my life now, and this is about the front nine, the good parts of it, anyway.”
Offering more details of the content of the shows which will feature songs from the shows and films he has starred in as well as songs from shows he auditioned unsuccessfully for, Jackman went on to say: “I picked all of my favourite songs… But it’s a mixed bag.”
Part of the tour’s 12-show European leg, Jackman will bring his show to the Manchester Arena on 24 May 2019 followed by Birmingham Resorts World Arena on 27 May and The O2 Arena on 2 and 3 June.
The tour will then head for the US for the 22-date North American leg which will include performances at the Hollywood Bowl and Madison Square Gardens.
Double Tony Award winner Jackman famously made his UK stage debut in 1998 with an Olivier Award-nominated performance in Trevor Nunn’s revival of Oklahoma!.
