West End favourite Joanna Strand will be joined by a host of musical theatre stars for a special fundraiser at the London Hippodrome next month.
A ‘one night only’ cabaret show, Joanna Strand and Friends will raise cash for the Make A Difference (MAD) Trust on 14 July.
A regular on the West End stage in shows including The Phantom of the Opera and Jekyll and Hyde, Strand has also enjoyed success as a cabaret artist, regularly performing at leading venues on both sides of the Atlantic.
The Hippodrome show will feature guest artists Gary Williams (The Rat Pack Live) and Jacqui Tate (Avenue Q), along with a line-up of leading West End performers.
Tate has previously partnered Strand in performances at the Crazy Coqs, The Pheasantry and Pizza Express Dean Street, while Williams is also a regular on the London cabaret circuit.
Artists currently lined up to join the trio on stage include: Rodney Earl Clarke, Katherine Evans, Pamela Hay, Monique Henry, Theo Jameson, Lydia Jenkins, Ria Jones, John Mclarnon, Nathaniel Morrison, Nigel Richards, Thomas Humphreys, Colette Lennon, David Shannon, the West End Gospel Choir and Worbey and Farrell.
All profits will go to the Make A Difference Trust. With a legacy of over 25 years, the MAD Trust, trading as TheatreMAD, brings together the theatre industry and its supporters to raise funds for HIV and AIDS projects that raise awareness, and provide care, support and education in the United Kingdom and Sub-Saharan Africa. The Trust also supports those in the entertainment industry facing hardship as a result of a long-term illness.
