Judy Garland and Edith Piaf celebrated in two new shows from Linder Productions

Linder Productions is bringing its two critically acclaimed international touring productions to London this spring, celebrating the lives and music of the legendary performer Judy Garland and the iconic French chanteuse Edith Piaf.

Not typical tribute shows, these productions are a blend of compelling stories, fascinating facts, charming humour and passionately performed Garland and Piaf classics.

“The shows take the audience through the back stories of two of the most successful female performers of all time,” says producer Vicki Linder. “Piaf rose from the backstreets of Paris to become the highest paid female singers in the world and Garland was described by Fred Astaire as being the greatest entertainer who ever lived.

“Both shows have very similar structures and are sensitively written to really give an insight into the personalities of the two legends, as well as their music” she adds. “And they are specifically not impersonations – both of these icons were truly one-offs. The shows are more about inspiration than imitation.”

Award-winning musical theatre actress/entertainer Sally Jones leads both productions and, as well as performing many of the legends’ respective classics “with powerful emotion and commitment”, she delivers the informative and highly entertaining narration “with passion and sincerity”.

Having received rave reviews in Canada, the shows are now coming to London as part of a UK national tour. Get Happy – The Judy Garland Story will be at Jermyn Street Theatre for one night only on Sunday 26 April and No Regrets – The Life Story and Songs of Edith Piaf will play for two nights at Leicester Square Theatre on 1 and 2 May.
