Abbie Chambers will play the lead role in Legally Blonde the Musical at Upstairs at the Gatehouse this Christmas season
The full cast has been announced for Ovation’s upcoming production of Legally Blonde the Musical due to play London’s Upstairs at the Gatehouse Theatre this Christmas season.
Jodie Jacobs (Rock of Ages) will reprise the role of Paulette she played in the recent Kilworth House production of the show alongside London School of Musical Theatre graduate Abbie Chambers as Elle.
Robert Colvin (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat) will play Warner, Ross Barnes (Parade) will play Leo Frank and Hugh Osborne (The Sound of Music) will take on the role of Professor Callahan. Other confirmed cast include: Suzie Aries, Aimee Barrett, Adam Crossley, Lily De-La-Haye, Chris Durtnal, Emma Ingram and Scott Norton.
The creative team features: director John Plews, musical director Matt Abrams, choreographer Anthony Whiteman, casting director Harry Blumenau, ighting designer Sam Waddington, sound designer Jon Raper and producer Katie Plews.
The new production of the multi-award winning show will run at the venue from 16 December 2015 until 31 January 2016 (press night is 18 December).
Legally Blonde has music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin and a book by Heather Hach. The story is based on the novel Legally Blonde by Amanda Brown and and the 2001 film of the same name.
