Director Christopher Luscombe’s 40th Anniversary re-working of the cult classic Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show will hit the road for a year-long national tour, beginning at Brighton’s Theatre Royal on 17 December.
Stars of two of the UK’s most popular TV talent shows will join a former soap star and a founder member of chart-toppers S Club 7 in the revival of the critically acclaimed production which celebrated the enduringly popular show’s 40th birthday in 2013.
Diana Vickers, the X Factor finalist who won great reviews for her performance in The Rise and Fall of Little Voice will star as Janet Weiss alongside former Emmerdale actor turned stage star Ben Freeman (Legally Blonde, Wicked) as Brad Majors. S Club singer Paul Cattermole will play Eddie and Dr Scott, while Liam Tamne (The Phantom of the Opera, Hairspray), one of Will i am’s team choices in series two of The Voice, has been cast in the iconic role of Frank N Furter. Riff Raff will be played by Kristian Lavercombe, fresh from playing the same role in more than 900 performances on the 40th Anniversary Global Tour of the show.
