Further 2026 dates have been confirmed for the acclaimed world touring production of Les Misérables – The Arena Spectacular.

Coinciding with the 40th anniversary celebrations for the London production of Boublil and Schönberg’s masterpiece, the star-studded tour will play the 3Arena, Dublin (29 May to 6 June 2026), Utilita Arena Birmingham (11-14 June 2026) and London’s Royal Albert Hall (18-21 June 2026). The production will also play a strictly limited run of 14 shows at New York’s Radio City Music Hall from 23 July to 2 August 2026. Star casting for the new dates will be announced soon.

With over one million tickets sold worldwide to date, the new dates for the world tour which opened in Belfast in September 2024 will mark the end of the official 40th anniversary celebrations of the world’s longest-running musical.

Announcing the new dates, producer Cameron Mackintosh said: “The Arena Concert Spectacular, which I put together as a world tour to celebrate the incredible 40th year of Les Mis continuously running in London, has been a success beyond my wildest dreams, attracting capacity crowds around the world since it opened over a year ago – even in countries where the full stage production has never yet played.

“The arena tour has already sold over a million tickets, and the rapturous reception has been the same for over 300 performances in 30 cities across 25 countries around the globe wherever Miz Rocks is playing. Continuing what will have been an almost two-year record-breaking run, I am thrilled to announce that in 2026 we will be bringing home this iconic event to Dublin and Birmingham before it plays two of the world’s most iconic music venues – the Royal Albert Hall in London in June and Radio City Music Hall in New York in July.

“We haven’t played the Royal Albert Hall since the show’s legendary 10th Anniversary Concert (which has just been remastered and released on vinyl for the first time) and in New York, Les Misérables has not been seen for almost a decade since we closed our third triumphant run on Broadway. Even our return to Dublin, to the 3Arena (formerly the legendary Point), is full of Les Mis resonance as it is the place where our original Irish star, the great Colm Wilkinson, came home to play Jean Valjean – we hope to have another great Irish star to make the upcoming Dublin engagement equally memorable. We are putting together an incredible array of Les Mis alumni for these engagements and look forward to announcing our cast later in the year.

“I am especially excited about bringing this arena production to New York as America is the only major English-speaking country in the world where I have not yet produced the concert. So, I was personally delighted that we were invited to do so by Radio City Music Hall where American audiences can see this spectacular event for the first time.

“To quote The Times, ‘Only Les Mis can generate an atmosphere between a rock concert and a football match – a hypnotic and virtuoso production’. I’m looking forward to seeing you roll up to Miz Rocks… But hurry to avoid having to storm the barricades for a ticket!”

The production has already played to packed houses across 30 cities, breaking box office records across the world. The tour will next play an eight-week sold-out season in Shanghai – the longest single engagement of the tour – where performances sold out in hours each time new batches of tickets were released. The tour will then head to Manila and Singapore before returning to Europe.

Les Misérables – The Arena Spectacular is an expanded version of the star-studded concert version of Les Misérables which played to packed houses at the Gielgud Theatre in 2019 while the much-loved show’s original home, the Queen’s Theatre, was closed for refurbishment ahead of its reopening as the Sondheim Theatre. Les Misérables The Staged Concert eventually played over 200 performances in the West End. The production features a design tailor-made for arenas and large theatres with audience capacity between 3,000 and 5,000.

Now entering its 41st year in London, the world’s longest-running musical continues to attract crowds to the Sondheim Theatre. Cameron Mackintosh’s Les Misérables is written by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg and is based on the novel by Victor Hugo. It has music by Claude-Michel Schönberg, lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer and original French text by Alain Boublil and Jean-Marc Natel with additional material by James Fenton and adaptation by Trevor Nunn and John Caird.
