Marisha Wallace features in line-up of inaugural Gaiety Musical Theatre Festival

Marisha Wallace will join fellow West End stars Kerry Ellis, Cassidy Janson and Lee Mead for the first Gaiety Musical Theatre Festival in May 2022.

The actress who made her West End debut in Dreamgirls at the Savoy Theatre and appeared on Broadway in the original casts of Disney’s Aladdin and Something Rotten will take to the stage alongside the previously announced Ellis (We Will Rock You, Wicked), Janson (& Juliet, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical) and Mead (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Wicked) in the grounds of Ragley Hall in Warwickshire on 1 May 2022.

The London Musical Theatre Orchestra will accompany the star performers on the main stage. Further artists will be announced at a later date.

Announcing the latest addition to the line-up, the festival’s producer Mike Wilson said: “We are thrilled to be welcoming West End and Broadway powerhouse Marisha Wallace to the inaugural Gaiety Festival. Marisha’s unmistakeable vocals are renowned in the world of musical theatre, and we are beyond excited that she will be joining the stellar line-up on our Main Stage to perform her favourite showtunes. Festivalgoers are in for a treat!”

Early bird tickets for the outdoor music festival dedicated to musical theatre are on sale until 31 December.
