Paul Taylor-Mills to return to Bill Kenwright’s The Other Palace as artistic director

Bill Kenwright has appointed his long-time collaborator director and producer Paul Taylor-Mills as the artistic director of his new London theatre The Other Palace.

Taylor-Mills will return to the venue where he previously served as artistic director followed by advisory producer when the former St James Theatre was first reopened as The Other Palace by the venue’s previous owner Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Commenting on his new role, Taylor-Mills said: “I am absolutely delighted to be returning to The Other Palace as its new artistic director and launching my tenure with Heathers the Musical, all under the helm of Bill Kenwright.

“I have had the pleasure of working with Bill and his incredible team for many years and the opportunity for us to have a London home for our projects is a dream come true.

“The Other Palace is an incredible building and I’m looking forward to reopening the space with Heathers. We’ve been incredible lucky with the show but there’s nothing like seeing it on the stage it was always intended to live on.

“I’m looking forward to this next chapter and would like to thank Bill for his unfaltering loyalty and trust in me.”

Taylor-Mills will continue in his role as artistic director of the Turbine Theatre at the Battersea Power Station. Bill Kenwright Productions announced the acquisition of The Other Palace from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s LW Theatres last week.
