West End and Broadway star Ramin Karimloo and international TV and radio personality Michelle Visage will play Gomez and Morticia Addams in a special concert presentation of The Addams Family A Musical Comedy at the London Palladium early next year.
Presented by Katy Lipson for Aria Entertainment and John Stalker Productions, the show’s West End debut on 12 and 13 February 2024 follows two successful UK and Ireland tours.
Karimloo (Love Never Dies, Les Misérables) and RuPaul’s Drag Race judge Visage will be joined by Birds of a Feather favourite Lesley Joseph (Young Frankenstein, Annie The Musical) as Grandma. Further casting will be announced at a later date.
The Addams Family A Musical Comedy Live In Concert will reunite the creative team behind the 2017 and 2021 touring productions. Matthew White will direct the performances with choreography by Alistair David, production design by Diego Pitarch, orchestrations by Richard Beadle, lighting design by Ben Cracknell, sound design by Richard Brooker and casting by Jane Deitch.
Inspired by the gloriously ghoulish characters created by Charles Addams, The Addams Family A Musical Comedy features a book by the creators of the multi-award-winning Jersey Boys, Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, and music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa (Big Fish). The original multi-million dollar Broadway production opened on Broadway in 2010 with Nathan Lane starring as Gomez and Bebe Neuwirth as Morticia.
The Broadway production closed at the end of 2011 and there were a number of international and touring productions of the show including a US tour also in 201, a European premiere in Sweden in 2012 and the UK and Ireland premiere in 2017.
