Rebecca Trehearn
Olivier Award winner Rebecca Trehearn will take to the stage for two performances of acclaimed song cycle Heart of Winter as part of Live At Zédel’s programme at Crazy Coqs on 9 and 15 May.
The actress who collected the 2017 Olivier for Best Supporting Actress In A Musical for her performance in the critically-acclaimed Show Boat will perform the one-woman piece at the popular London entertainment venue.
Susan Raasay will direct the show which will feature Trehearn accompanied by musical director Caroline Humphris on piano.
The story of a primary school teacher living in the North of England and coping with the breakdown of a five-year romantic relationship, Heart of Winter boasts music and lyrics by Tim Connor and a story and dramaturgy by Lia Buddle.
Cabaret favourite ‘Back To School’, the winner of the Stiles & Drewe 2016 Best New Song Award, features in the show. A recording of the song cycle was first released in 2015.
