Ria Jones heads up the Guys and Dolls cast at Paris’ Theatre Marigny

Paris will be seeing Guys and Dolls for the first time when Frank Loesser’s iconic 1950 musical lands in the Theatre Marigny, just off the Champs-Elysees, for a four-and-a-half-month run from 13 March to 27 July.

Ria Jones, so brilliant in Sunset Boulevard, heads the cast which also features Clare Halse, Christopher Howell and Matthew Goodgame, all three of whom were in the 42nd Street revival which recently closed in London’s West End. Stephen Mear will direct.

Based on the colourful short stories by Damon Runyon with all the New York vernacular of gamblers and gangsters, it features some of the best-loved songs in musical theatre history, not least ‘Luck Be a Lady’, ‘A Bushel and a Peck’, ‘Marry the Man Today’ and ‘Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat’.
