Siobhan Dillon plays Sally Bowles in the touring version of Cabaret
Actress Siobhan Dillon will join the cast of the forthcoming UK tour of Cabaret as the iconic Sally Bowles, opposite singer/songwriter Will Young in his award-nominated performance as the Emcee.
Siobhan Dillon was a popular finalist on the BBC’s hit show How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria? Following Maria, she won a record deal with Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Really Useful Group and also co-wrote and recorded an album for Universal Music. Last year she starred in the UK tour of Can’t Smile Without You, and recently she made her West End debut in Grease. Dillon originally played the part of Sally Bowles in a previous touring production of the Kander and Ebb musical in 2009.
Rufus Norris’ acclaimed production of Cabaret had a successful West End run, the touring version opens at the New Wimbledon Theatre on 28 August.
Theatre veteran Lyn Paul will play Fraulein Schneider alongside Matt Rawle (Cliff), Linal Haft (Herr Schultz) and Nicholas Tizzard (Ernst).
Varlerie Cutko plays Fraulein Kost with an ensemble including Alastair Postlewaite, Alessia Lugoboni, Alexzandra Sarmiento, Cydney Uffindell-Phillips, Emily Bull, Luke Fetherston, Oliver Roll and Shahla Tarrant.
Choreography for the production is by the Olivier Award-winning Javier De Frutos.
