Six’s Marlow and Moss join SIGNAL x MTPRIDE event

Six creators Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss will be among the contributors to SIGNAL x MTPRIDE, the closing event in MTPRIDE – the online music festival celebrating Pride past, present and future through performances of musical theatre stars from the LGBTQ+ community.

The special version in director/producer Adam Lenson’s successful series of SIGNAL ONLINE lockdown concerts will focus on 12 LGBTQ+ writers who will present new songs live from their own homes.

The concert will include music from Marlow and Moss in collaboration with Courtney Act and Zak-Ghazi Torbati, along with content from Forristal and Clarke (writers of the recently announced P.S. I’m a Terrible Person), Joriah Kwame (winner of 2019’s Write Out Loud musical theatre writers’ competition) and Meg McGrady (co-writer with Zoe Morris) of this year’s Stiles and Drewe prize-winner for Vision, Voice and Potential.

Other writers to feature in the event will include: Robin Simoes Da Silva and Teddy Lamb, Harry Blake and Jennifer Fletcher, Ariel Hope Stump, Emily Rose Simons, Eden Tredwell, Jude Taylor, Keurim Hur and Jacob Fjedheim, Laura McGrady and Roly Botha.

The performance will be streamed on the MPTheatricals YouTube Channel on Wednesday 8 July 2020 at 8pm BST and will feature a cast of LGBTQ+ musical theatre talent, with a special focus on bringing trans and female queer performers to the forefront.

MTPRIDE is available on a ‘Pay What You Can Basis’. All proceeds will be split between UK Black Pride, Gendered Intelligence and a support fund for the artists involved.

Full details of the schedule can be found at www.mtpride.co.uk.
