The Secret Garden took home the top honours at the second annual West End Bake Off charity event held on Saturday at St Anne’s Church Courtyard Soho.

Cast and crew from the musical, which doesn’t open at London’s Ambassadors Theatre until later this month, followed last year’s winning team representing the world’s longest running stage show The Mousetrap.

Teams from 20 top West End shows had lined up to try to impress judges Michael Ball, Christopher Biggins and Barbara Windsor with their culinary skills.

The fundraiser that combines freshly baked cakes and sweet treats with West End theatre stars raises money for Acting For Others, the umbrella organisation that represents 15 UK theatrical charities.

West End Bake Off has raised more than £4,500 for the charitable group which offers emotional and financial support to members of the entertainment industry who have fallen on hard times.

West End Bake Off is supported by The Mackintosh Foundation and Official London Theatre.
