Tim McArthur’s show Mountains heads to New York

Actor and cabaret performer Tim McArthur is taking his latest show Mountains to the prestigious Broadway supper club Feinstein’s/54 Below.

Returning to New York for the first time in 17 years, McArthur will be introducing US audiences to the show which debuted at London’s St James Studio in 2016.

The show at Feinstein’s/54 Below on Monday 5 March will be followed by performances at the Pride Center in Chicago of both Mountains and McArthur’s Sondheim Diva Show on 11 and 12 March.

Also known for Curtain Up, his weekly radio show on Resonance FM, McArthur is currently celebrating nearly 25 years in the entertainment business.

A celebration of songs from the musical theatre world, and taking its title from a song featured in Mrs Henderson Presents, Mountains includes songs from a number of recent hit musicals including Kinky Boots, Matilda and Waitress.

Musical direction for the show will be by Rick Unterberg and Georgia Osborne will feature as guest vocalist.

The presenter and performer has hosted various events including The Sondheim Society’s monthly shows, and the variety show Sister Mary’s Big Night Out which featured his comedy character Sister Mary McArthur. His recording credits include the debut album ‘Don’t Be Anything Less’.

McArthur previously performed a solo show in 2014 in Malaysia where he became the first international artist invited to play the Theatre Lounge Café in Kuala Lumpar.
