With indoor theatre performances not due to resume until 17 May 2021 at the earliest, the West End Musical Celebration – Live At The Palace Theatre concerts have been rescheduled to dates in June.
Originally planned for October last year, the star-packed celebration of musical theatre and the return of live theatre will now play the Palace Theatre from 10 to 13 June at 7pm with matinee performances at 2pm on 9 and 10 June.
Created by the team behind the popular West End Musical Brunch events and last year’s hit West End Musical Drive-In series in conjunction with producer Nica Burns, the six shows had been due to form the grand finale of the Nimax Theatres’ autumn season of socially distanced shows.
Announcing the new dates, producers Shanay Holmes and Chris Steward said: “Finally there is a feeling of real hope and optimism in the air. We can’t wait to turn that into a much-needed party as we invite the audience to ‘step into the world of musicals’ and ‘become the cast’ in this immersive and interactive concert!”
The line-up will feature many of the stars who featured in the West End Drive-In shows including Sophie Evans, Alice Fearn, Ben Forster, Rachel John, Jamie Muscato, Shanay Holmes, Trevor Dion Nicholas and Layton Williams.
Produced by Holmes and Steward for West End Musical Productions in association with Burns for Nimax Theatres, West End Musical Celebration – Live At The Palace Theatre will be directed and choreographed by Tom Jackson Greaves with musical direction and arrangements by Richard Beadle, lighting design by Howard Hudson, sound design by Rob Bettle and costume design by Faye Young.
