The Stage Award-winning Gigglemug Theatre will premiere actor/musician family-friendly show Scouts! The Musical at London venue The Other Palace from 20 June until 9 July 2023.
Created in partnership with The Scout Association, the actor-musician production will mark the return to The Other Palace of The Stage award-winning Gigglemug Theatre.
Featuring a book by Gigglemug’s artistic director Sam Cochrane and a score by former scout David Fallon, the heart-warming family-friendly musical set during the annual Scout Games is directed by Cochrane with musical direction by Rob Gathercole.
The cast consists of 2023 Mountview graduate Sydney Spencer as Ayesha, Kemi Clarke (Beautiful – The Carole King Musical) as Scout Leader Dylan, Joel Nash as Joe, Musical Comedy Award winner Katie Pritchard as Rosie, Emily Kitchingham as Charlotte and musical director Gathercole as Luke/Linus Lionheart.
In development with The Scout Association since 2019, Scouts! The Musical, was first seen at a work in progress project showcased at BEAM2021.
With a reputation for partnering with different organisations to create family comedy musicals, Gigglemug also created the Edinburgh Festival Fringe hit Timpson: The Musical and the 2021 Fringe hit The Bean Spillers The Improvised Musical All About Gossip. The company will celebrate its fifth birthday this year.
The Scout Association is a charity which teaches life-skills to 57 million Scouts and Guides worldwide.
