A year after Leicester Curve’s critically acclaimed 2018 production of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas played a sold-out festive season at London’s Dominion Theatre the producers have announced plans for a UK tour in 2021.

Launching in Woking at the New Victoria Theatre on 28 October 2021, the tour will visit the Bristol Hippodrome, Canterbury’s Marlowe Theatre, The Palace Theatre, Manchester and Plymouth Theatre Royal before playing a Christmas season at the Edinburgh Playhouse from 14 December 2021 until 2 January 2022. Casting will be announced soon.

Reuniting Curve’s award-winning artistic director Nikolai Foster with double Olivier Award-winning choreographer Stephen Mear, the hit production debuted at Curve in December 2018. Set design is by Michael Taylor with costume design by Diego Pitarch, musical supervision by Stephen Brooker, lighting design by Mark Henderson and sound design by Tom Marshall. Orchestrations are by Larry Blank with new musical arrangements by Jason Carr.

Based on the much-loved 1954 Paramount Pictures film, White Christmas boasts music and lyrics by Irving Berlin and a book by David Ives and Paul Blake. Written for the screen by Norman Krasna, Norman Panama and Melvin Frank, the stage version debuted in 2000 in St Louis. Curve’s production is based on the original 2008 Broadway stage production directed by Walter Bobbie.
