New dates for Scream Phone UK tour

Swipe Right Theatre has announced rescheduled dates for the UK tour of 2019 Edinburgh Festival Fringe hit Scream Phone. Originally due to launch last month, but forced to delay after a cast member tested positive for Covid-19, the tour opened at the Old Joint Stock in Birmingham.

The show then visits The Mill Studio at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford (10 November), The Wardrobe Theatre in Bristol (11-12 November), The Rondo Theatre in Bath (13 November), Leighton Buzzard Library Theatre (17 November), the Town and Gown Theatre in Cambridge (18-20 November) and Komedia in Brighton (26 November) before arriving at the tour’s original launch venue, London’s Soho Theatre for performances on 17 and 18 December.

Written and performed by Swipe Right’s co-founders Natasha Granger and Kerrie Thomason, the 1989-set musical which takes its inspiration from the retro board game Dream Phone is directed by Tom Parry with arrangements and music by Martin Higgins, set design by Casey Jay Andrews and lighting design by David Doyle. The cast is completed by Alexandra Lewis.

Scream Phone premiered at VAULT in 2019 before playing a sold-out run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and embarking on its first national tour.

Swipe Right’s debut show, girl power musical 2 Become 1 played sold-out runs at three successive Edinburgh Fringe Festivals followed by a successful run at the King’s Head in London.

Inspired by the music of their youth, Thomason and Granger’s tale of four best friends on a wild night on the town takes its audience on a female fuelled trip through the music and mood of 1990s Britain.
