Adam Kay brings his show The Remains of Tom Lehrer to the Ambassadors Theatre

Comedian Adam Kay will take his hit show The Remains of Tom Lehrer into the West End later this month.

The versatile writer and performer who fronted award winning musical comedy act The Amateur Transplants, previewed his version of American satirist Lehrer’s controversial songbook last year at the St James Studio.

The Remains of Tom Lehrer will play the Ambassadors Theatre on 19 April ahead of a season at this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August.

The co-writer of BBCTV’s Crims, Kay took the title for his new show from the controversial American singer-songwriter Lehrer. Best known for the satirical songs he recorded in the 1950s and 1960s, his work was previously celebrated on both sides of the Atlantic in the Cameron Mackintosh-produced musical revue show Tomfoolery.
